Shikakai :

Method to make the shampoo paste:
1. Take Reetha, 3–4 Shikakai
and 8–10 Amla. Soak them overnight in a bowl of water (the night before hair
wash).
2. In the morning, take the
bowl and keep it on low flame of stove for 5–7 minutes.
3. Once the mixture cools,
peel the reetha, remove the seed and mash the ingredients.
4. Strain the liquid, and
put it in your hair. Massage hair gently.
5. Put some more water in
leftover material.
6. Mash again, repeat steps
4 and 5 and 6 until hair is soapy enough (Normally it takes 4 repetitions).
7. Take care that the liquid
does not go into eyes. It’s horrible, your eyes would be red for at least an
hour.
Note: Donot pay more than 60 Rs for 100g of Shikakai powder and 50 Rs each for 100g of Amla & Reetha powder.
